Notice to DCI buyers
For any that don't know, I am the guy that makes the DCI product that has been sold through Lucid Automotive for the last 18 months or so.
As of June 1 2004, Lucid Automotive will no longer be selling the DCI. This decision has nothing to do with Lucid Automotive, Jim and I are still good buddies (I hope), and I may find an opportunity to do business with him in the future.
My decision is based on my desire to be more involved so I am about to start my own business. But until I get my new arrangements finalized you will not be able to purchase DCI's from me or anybody else. I apologize for that inconvenience and hope you can wait a few weeks till I get everything set up.
Any orders previously received by Lucid and not yet fulfilled WILL BE SHIPPED, but may be delayed as I am pretty busy getting my business in order. I apologize for the delays, and want you to know the delays are not Lucid's fault, so please give him some slack.
I will continue to provide warranty and service support for DCI's purchased through Lucid . For now, just PM me if you have a problem.
To repeat, the DCI is not going away, there is just a lull in the action. All previous products are still supported, all previous orders will be fulfilled.

I am sorry to here that, it sounds like you make a great product. One question I order my DIC...

I placed on order on 4/25 that still hasn't been shipped yet either, just got the email below back from Jim. Since there's no ETA and obviously there are bigger issues I just cancelled and will see what my installer can get working on his own. Only thing I'm really concerned about is volumn and maybe he can figure out something for just that.

That sucks. I don't want to cax, I just want my DCI. I know there are others out there but these seems to be the best one for the buck. If it is going to be another month that is another thing but after waiting all this time, I don't want to give up now.

Just so you guys know, I had back-orders from Lucid for 24 DCI's. I managed to ship 10 units out today (Lucid should have them Monday) and will get the rest out next Monday. So y'all should see your DCI's soon.

The DCI is NOT going away.
I am NOT taking them off the market.
I have only changed my marketing strategy.
Orders already placed with Lucid WILL be fulfilled. Please hang in there.
No new orders will be accepted for the month of June.
I expect to start taking new orders starting July 1.
Most important - Starting July 1, things will be better.
