Default OEM Alarm installed with Prox and Shock sensors

Well I know many of you have already installed the OEM alarm but I was unable to find any info about adding accessory modules to it so I figured I'd post. I installed an OEM alarm, that I bought from MadDane, this morning. The install took me 3 hours from start to finish and that was taking my sweet a** time and doing everything perfect. It then took me another 30 minutes or so to adjust the sensors and get them all within tolerable settings. I used a DEI/Clifford single stage proximity sensor and a DEI/Clifford single stage shock sensor in addition to the stock setup. I mounted the prox under the center console arm rest (it's only about 1/2" thick) and it fit like a glove. I mounted the shock sensor under the dash. I wired them both in series to the yellow/red wire (-) that would be used for the OEM hood pin setup and supplied power to the prox sensor via the trunk power wire (white) behind the drivers seat and the negative (black) wire from an empty connector right next to the trunk wires (possibly for the hard top??) For the shock sensor I tapped in to the main connector inside the driver-side kick panel for power and grounded it to the body. I would like to thank Modifry for the electronics help I had a couple of questions concerning the wiring of the sensors and he was quick to reply and help out. I also plan on adding a DEI tilt/motion sensor probably this weekend and eventually I will add the stock hood pin up front as well. I ran out of time today and had to go to work, so I just did the basic setup and the 2 sensors for now. Everything works like a champ right out of the box. I have installed several aftermarker alarms in many different cars and this install was by FAR the easiest I have ever done. I could teach a monkey to do it in 5 minutes. You get everything you need with the kit and the instructions are very thorough. I chose the OEM alarm because I really wanted to stay with a stock setup and keep OEM remotes and the pre-wired harnesses are great. If anyone has any questions concerning the installation or anything related, please feel free to ask.

Actually, you want to wire the sensors in parallel to the hood switch, not in series. I have some information on my webpage concerning wiring the same alarm, although with a different sensor. I was able to use the same information from modifry to put this together. You can pickup power at the oem alarm, while you are tapping into the hood switch, from the White/Blue wire which supplies +12 volts, even when the ignition is off.

My diagram shows how to wire a reed relay to activate another alarm device (some kind of audible alert) when the far field of the proximity alarm is triggered.

Yeah, I meant paralell sorry. I sure wish I would have had this information before I installed mine. I would have gone with dual zone sensors. Nice work and thanks for the great information. I amy actually redo it adding your mod for dual zone sensors. Thanks!
