i have a 2000 s2000 with the uk spec radio as can be seen at the bottom of this page

http://lucidautomotive.com/cgi-bin/merchan...oduct_Code=S2kh

can i hook the radio up to the alpine kca-130b adapter seen here :

i've been pondering this as well. i've yet to find someone that has done it, so i can't confirm that it'll work.

you'll actually need 2 adaptors for this to work. the KCA-130B only takes it to Alpine M-Bus, you'll also need an adaptor the take it from the HondaBusFormat -> MBUS

so HU -> Honda2MBUS Adaptor -> MBUS2AINET Adaptor

my biggest doubt is the extra adaptor involved, my local installer had his doubts, but he was willing to try it if i bought my stuff there (with the understanding we could swap out to a CHM S630 if it didn't work).

you talking about the cha-s634? the silver 6 cd changer that plays mp3s too? Yea, it'll work. You need to get the ai-net to m-bus cable and the adapter too. I think it's HONIO. Cable is like $10 on ebay and the adapter is about 80? something like that.

Hope he doesn't mind me throwing his name around, but PM 2Ting....he's done it.
He answered a few questions when I was thinking about doing it.

Is there a difference between US spec radio and UK? It works well in my S...(OEM + cha-s634) Two adapters yup. Sandman did you hook yours up? Nice thing about it is that changer can fit snug under the seat.

i tried this on the U.S. spec radio, and it does not work.

talked extensively to the makers of the oem -> ai-net adapter and the ai-net to mbus adapter, (or do i have that backwards) and the verdict was it's a no go. i used an older changer, and of course it worked fine.

the old post is around somewhere, from when i tried it... when search is up i'm sure you can find it.
