Default OEM Radio Reception Gone

Without any warning, my 2005 OEM radio reception has disappeared. Just nothing but static and occasionally some cross-over signals (when near a transmitter). The CD works fine. The only thing I've checked is if my stubby antenna is still screwed on, and it is. Any ideas where to look next?

You checked it of course, but first thing I would have said is, "Did someone steal your antenna?"

Have you done any audio modifications recently?

It is a powered antenna so maybe your antenna power connection is open?

Not only none recently, none ever.

You mean amplified and not powered up-and-down, right? I don't know where to check. I can't find my shop manual and without it I'm blind.

the antenna is amplified, and it could be something simple like a blown
fuse. alas the service manual doesn't list the antenna amplifier in the
fuse to components index.
does anything else electrical not work?

Does the Service Manual at least tell me where the amplifier is? I still can't find the manual but if it won't help me I'll stop looking.

Nothing else seems to be out of order. I just now realize I haven't tried my high beams but that has to be a long shot to be on the same fuse as an antenna amp.

the antenna amp is just below the antenna. I just found a circuit diagram
that appears to say that the antenna is actually powered by the headunit
lead - it's not just a turn-on lead as I had assumed, so it's on the same fuse
as the headunit itself so it's not apparently a fuse.
anyway, if you get behind the trunk liner below the antenna, you can pull off
the connector and if you have a multimeter check if there's power getting to
the antenna amp.

Might also check that the big coax antennae cable hasn't come loose from the back of the radio.

Did that, 12V. While I was there I also made sure the coax cable was tightly connected to the amp. Any way I can check if the amp is working? The obvious answer would be to try it on a different head unit but I don't have one.
