I'm about to switch to an Alpine 9857. The car presently has the Honda OEM XM option that was purchased by the previous owner. I have two questions, and I did search for the answers but couldn't find anything.

First, does Honda use the Terk receiver? If so, I could just buy the Alpine interface without the complete kit that includes the receiver and antenna.

Second, where in the car is the OEM XM receiver mounted?
