I love the kodas. They are outstanding. Is the DSQ single or dual voice coils?

SC,

slighty OT, but man i wish elemental would ship the E8A! i really want to hear some feedback from people on whether they are worth the price premium over say a Rockford Fosgate 8". Or how they compare to the JL, i have an idea for a stealth sub mount too...

I know... I pre-ordered mine on January 22nd! I'm having it shipped to WLAURENT so he can customize one of his enclosures for it. Preorder ended March 10th, and I hear they are in production now, so hopefully they'll ship soon...

If it's a single 4-ohm coil, then the blau pa4100 specs say it will bridge to do 250 to the sub. Mine bench tested at 112 per channel and about 280 bridged. If you can run your rear speakers off of your HU, then I think the 4100 will be a great fit for your setup.

I've been kicking around the idea of swapping out my 4100 for a 2150. Even with the gains turned way down, 250W is over 2x the recommended power for the Kodas.

According to Crutchfield, they're 10.4" W x 9.8" H x 2.6" D with them on...so if they lose an inch or two on every side, they could easily fit on the front-facing wall of the trunk...or maybe just racked and stuffed into the space on the sides of the trunk...
Dimensions for the PA2150 (and 2200, 4100) from a Blaupunkt catalog:

With housing: 10.4x9.8x2.6"

Without housing: 8.8x7.9x1.8"

BTW, Crutchfield doesn't have the 2150 in stock. I was considering them, too, when I bought my amps. PartsExpress has them, but they're $330.

$220 for the 2150 from millionbuy.com, they also list the 2200 for $260.

i'm not sure if they're authorized, so it's up to you if you want to pay the extra $100 for the warranty.

i've bought from this website before they're fast.
