Opinion of Eclipse Audio Equipment
Their decks are among the best. The 3413 for $250 locally is probably the best deal you can get on a deck.
Their component speakers aren't anything special at all and their coax speakers are pretty bad.
Their subs are pretty decent with the TI line competing among the better SQ subs.
I have no idea about their amps. Never used one as they've just recently been offered en masse.

i would agree that their decks are amng the best, since myself and 3 of my friends have them! the eclipse aluminum and titanium subs hit pretty damn hard too
but as far as speakers and amps i have no idea...

their electronics are supposed to be among the best, but i personally don't go for the ergonomics.
their higher end subs are also supposed to be quite capable (can't personally vouch since i've never heard any).
i was quite surprised with their components and the sound quality. i'm not sure what b0mbrman dislikes, but i found them to be warm and accurate. but i've only heard them in a 'on wall' setup, and not in an actual vehicle, so that might be the difference.
coaxials - unimpressive for the money.
amps - no experience.

hrm.... i don't know the Aura components, but i didn't find the Eclipse to be overly airy sounding... on the otherhand, the Polk MM's were excessively spatial sounding...
but, i should point out, not only did i hear them in a 'wall install', the tweeters were close to 3 feet from the mid-bass drivers as well... and there were some clearly negative effects from that mounting, but nothing that sounded inherently wrong w/ the speaker itself, and i would have thought the tweeter mid-bass spacing would have enhanced any spatial sound issues...
*shrug*
in the end -- it comes down to this....
Kronos -- go listen to this gear and decide if you like it yourself - especially the speakers. our opinions are fine and dandy, but if you notice -- most of us have listened to them and made our own judgement calls based on experience.
also -- don't feel compelled to match Eclipse gear all together... there are really no inherent benefits from going all Eclipse. pick out the equipment that you like... buying all one name only does two things... it gives you gear with the same logo everywhere and it limits your options. personally, i don't think the first outweighs the second.
