Are these going to fit fine on the s2000?

Any positive/negative reviews on these speakers?

Thanks all,

Yes, they'll fit fine, I've done it. You'll have to hack the crap out of the stock plastic speaker basket and come up with a place for the tweeter, but they do fit.

Enjoy 'em!

Really? I have a set of these, but I never installed them because it looked like they were too deep. When I held them in, they seemed to hit the window glass. No? Did you use lots of spacers?

I have the Kappa 62.1i speakers in my car. They fit with the rear of the basket cut out and there is plenty of clearance with the window. Is the Perfect 6.1 a new model of Infinity speaker?

SC,

When you held the speakers in the hole, did you account for the thickness of the basket edge? That accounts for more than half an inch (if memory serves)...look at my webpage for a drawing with measurements to the glass, window leaf-switch stop, and basket.

The Perfect is a component system.

The Perfect 6.1 are supposed to be one up higher than the Kappa 6" components.

The other reason I never installed mine is that my jackass friend put his toolbox on one of the woofers and the little bubble in the middle of the cone was crushed and torn. (Idiot).

I tested the woofer on my home stereo, and it sounds fine (sounds really good actually), but I'm sure all the science and engineering and other book-learnin' that went into designing these speakers is now lost on one side. Anyone think I should just toss these woofers and get a new pair?
