Default ordered my Alpine 9857 But no Ipod wire?

hey guys am not really sure i got the connector, theres one connector already connected to the body itself, is that it?
if your look at the back of the radio it on the top left side.
Is that the ipod connector thats soppose to be free?
Or is it an actually white wire thats very LONGGG so you can run it anywhere in that car, if thats the case i didnt get it.
pics of the wire would be helpful thanks.

Sorry for sounding like a noob, didnt know where else to turn.

The connector for the iPod wire on the 9857 is on a pigtail, like the antenna connector.

Hope this helps,

Ed

Yes, the place you plug in the ipod wire is a pigtail hanging off the back of the unit, but the actual ipod wire is black and about six feet long. It's in a separate package and is supposed to come free with all 9857's purchased before June 30th. It sounds like they forgot or screwed up. You did buy it from an authorized Alpine dealer didn't you?

I thought that the cable was an extra $20.....unless there is a promotion going on.

Yes, there's currently a promotion. Free iPod cable with purchase of the model he bought.

IIRC it's model # KCE-422i, free with CDA-9857 for limited time.

Yes, it's free with the purchase of the 9857 through the end of June. It's normally $29.99.

Unauthorized dealers do NOT have to honor promotions.

If you didnt get it, just go to a local mega store (Best Buy, etc) and grab one.

Good point! I don't think Alpine has any authorized on-line dealers except Crutchfield. So, when you go to Best Buy the cable looks like this . . .
