There's way better solutions out there, but here was just for my own amusement.

II have been working on a microcontroller connected to a LCD and other parts to produce a device that gave me the outside temperature, inside temperature, and the ability to control the gain on my sub. It's not in the car but it's almost done. Soon, i'll incorporate another mode for monitoring engine vitals such as engine temp, pressure, etc.

just make sure u mount the thermistor on a part of the car that will be accurate and not be measuring some of the engine temps as well.

I still like to know the outside temperature, as I've got it in every other car I have... You could just hold a thermometer up in the cabin with the top down!

I'm going to run an ambient temperature guage when I do Rick's radio door mod, so I'll have one there in the end.

It's down 99% of the time. I still would like to know. It's in my old '87 bmw, you think they could put it in this car.

Your 87 BMW also has rear seat belts. Do you think the S needs them too?

Haha! Stick it IN your mirror, you mean? Looks like one of those thermometers you stick in a chicken/turkey to make sure it's fully cooked. Even the description says so.
