Default PAC SWI-X Installation Guide

I just finished the SWI-X Installation guide.

Lucid's SWI-X Guide

It addresses the quirky MODE button on the dash as well. Drop me a line if anything is the least bit unclear.

I think the instructions are great.. but i also think it should be noted that one must first check the PAC site to check for compatability.. i found out.. after installing it found out the hard way.. that it does not have the capablility to learn the functions of the new sony's because of the IR frequency

You're correct I should note that. Did this deck have a wired remote input that could use S2kman's DCU?

Does anyone have experience in beefing up the IR tx on the PAC? I am using with an alipine HU and having all sorts of difficulties in getting it to work. ie. Unit works fine when pointed directly at the HU, move it slight off centre and it stuggles to work.

Ideas? Can the IR signal be boosted?

PAC has an IR repeater you could try.
