Default Passport 9500i is shipping...

This item was previously discussed. Has anybody had a chance to try it out yet?

Wow, lots of neat features, but it's pricey! I think my 8500 X50 will stay with me for a while.

If no one else has one, I will get one to try out. I will post back after the demo.

was reading up on it at the radar detector forums, seems like the auto locating /GPS remembering system isn't working as well as advertised, hopefully its just a bug that'll get fixed...

mine arrived. it totally blocked my sirius satelite signal and after a phone call to escort they confirmed there could be a signal conflict. they have a work around by dialing out a certain frequency that will fix any satelite radio signal conflicts. i returned the unit and the repaired 9500 should arrive today and i will install and see if they corrected the problem.

the GPS speedometer feature is pretty cool. i can watch my speed by just looking at the detector.

also future plans are to be able to upload and download other peoples "blocked list" in various cities/areas.

I need to invest in a radar detector/blocker....anyone have any expiriences with the K40 Calibre? I have heard it was way over-hyped and a v1 or passport would do jsut as good of a job?

Wait for the revised software....

though escort did solve my satelite radio conflict, i ran into more issues trying to programming my local "false" areas ie: grocery store doors, home depot doors and what not. i could not get the unit to respond to inputs and i was following the instructions perfectly.

i returned to Escort today and i will be sticking with my X50. based on my situation, I would recommend people wait to buy this unit until it's been on the market awhile longer.
