People with subwoofers...
I have looked on several occasions to remove the bit of plastic in the roof well but just can't seem to find which one it is and how to get it out.
I have looked over several threads on there forums but still no luck.
Has anyone got a definitive guide to removing the offending bit in the roof well?
Cheers

There was a great thread awhile back from a guy who had some great pics of removal, and he drilled some nice big holes then covered the thing in speaker cover.
It was a great thread, but I cant find it!!
THe search really is not so good, we need permanent bookmarks, not just subscriptions!
Sorry for the soapbox!

I got my instructions from "jzr" via email. I'm going to post them here and hope he won't mind. You should thank him!
".....The first part is the vertical piece that runs along the back of the well. There's 3 or 4 little black clips that need to have their centers pulled out (then the whole clip), then you can get the black piece out. There's a few similar clips that need to be removed on front of the main bottom piece. There's also 4 or so white clips that you need to get at from the trunk. Getting the big piece out is something of a pain - I've found it's easier to
get back there with the top slightly open, but not so much that you can't get at it.
It'll take you a little time and there may be some swearing, but you can do it. Installation is the reverse of removal and isn't too hard.
Good luck! ............."
A few notes from my personal experience:
* The little black clips can also be taken out by pusing their centers in, instead of pulling them out (which I found was a bit more difficult).
* I believe I also found a few nuts or that I loosened from the trunk side. These could be the "white clips" jrz is refereing to. To get to them you'd have to get to the botton of the tray from the trunk. You'd have to remove the foamy stuff.
* I did not have to do it with the "top slighly open", I had the top all the way up.
Any more questions, let me know.

If your cheap like me, use the material from Lowes, Home Depot or whatever that are used in carpetting. It's the multi color looking material/foam that dampens your carpet. I used this on my doors and occasional places, and is badass.

Anyway, the most prominent rattles come from the license plate (fix that by putting a crapload of weatherstripping on the black of the plate. The second biggest noise comes from the trunk locking mechanism. Just take a ziptie and tighten up the plastic, like "hug it" with the zip tie, and itll quiet down. Thats the only rattles that I had
