Default A-pillar mount for GPS?

Does anyone make an a-pillar cover that has a bracket for a GPS unit or other gadgets? I'm basically looking for this:
http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/int...000/pillar_pod/
but with a screen mount or bracket instead of a gauge cluster. Ideally, it would either be an internally mounted screen, or a bracket with a quick release mechanism so I could stash the GPS unit when I park.

Alternatively, is there a GPS unit that would fit a 52mm or 60mm gauge mount? I'd be shocked if there were, but you never know.

Does such a thing exist?

Rick's Accessories is currently designing and perfecting a windshield header to fit a couple of the more popular GPS units. It'll replace the one you have now and eliminate the sun visor. There's a big thread on it somewhere around here.

what do you use to mold the tweeter in there?
I'm really interested in doing this kind of work and i've done a lot of reading about fiberglass but i'm not thinking that you used glass. not sure what else you would use but i could be wrong. also how did you get whatever you used to bond with the plastic?

John - you still using the old revision wand still?

I just picked up a Rev3.0 the other day - works much faster and color matching is almost as good as the Rev2.x wands

Hmm, having no luck tracking down the thread on the Rick's windshield header. Any estimates on release date or price?

Here's the thread for Rick's windshield GPS mount that he's developing. He doesn't have an ETA or price yet, but stay tuned.
