just picked this new head unit that came out in Feb. Install wasn't too bad but it is everything I want and was worth every penny! I was debating with this or the alpine but went along with this.

I put this stereo in my buddy's car. Always been an alpine guy, but if I wasn't Id be all over this HU. Great choice and nice to see more and more people installing their own HU's. Such an easy task to save money.

 

I'm having this installed this week also. has all the bells and whistles I need, and price is good. managed to get it through my installer for 230.

it was a toss up between this and the next higher new pioneer hu, which is te sound quality deck and has time alignment, etc, but I went with this unit because the features to price are hard to beat. other brands will be rolling out their 2012 lines soon, but pioneer was first to market with theirs, so they get my biz.

no burr brown with this unit, but I don't think I will ever tell the difference w top down at speed. in general, that's really the reason a passive setup makes sense to me in the s.

 

oh.. plus modifry wired dci for pioneer/sony is in stock at the moment. thanks modifry!

 

nice head unit!! i wish pioneer would make a mini amp like alpine did with there kpt-445

 

does anyone know if the modifry dci will work with this head unit? I do not see it listed on the website

i will be able to tell you by this weekend.. having it installed right now with the wired modifry dci. according to this page:

the wired dci should work with the deh-9400bh. the head unit's definitely got the wired remote input, so it should work i hope

 

Yeah i was reading in the manual that it has the wired remote input, but that modifry list hasnt been updated with pioneer's 2012 lineup. Keep us updated' thnx. I will definetly be purchasing this in the near future.

Btw the bluetooth calling and receiving is siick!
