Default Pioneer DEH-P510UB iPod problem

I have had my Pioneer Premier DEH-P510UB for a while now and it has been great. I ran my USB ipod connection off the rear USB input and it interfaces well with my iPhone 3G. For Christmas, I got a brand new Nano 16 gig. Up until this past week, it was worked great. It interfaced, played music, had NO lag in response to commands given by the headunit (track selection, random, repeat, etc)

Sunday i drove home to visit family and we listened to it the entire hour and a half drive. We arrive, I turn off the car, and head instead to see everyone. Ten minutes later I am back in the car to run to the grocery and the iPod won't play.

Here is the funny part: iPhone still works fine, and the iPod still shows as being connected, the headunit displays all the track info, will shuffle through songs and playlists.

So I have no idea what the hell is going on. I thought at first it may be a bad cord/connection, but my iPhone working shoots down that theory. Any suggestions?

Might be a frozen ipod. Try resetting your ipod and see if it works.

The iPod plays and functions fine when not plugged in. It has the built in speaker so I know it works.

Gentlemen, still not sure what was wrong, as the iPod played on my Bose dock, but I reset it and it works fine now. Next time I will listen to you all first.
