Default pioneer DEH-P8600MP

I just had the DEH-8600Mp installed. My stock radio was stolen and did not want to replace it. It sounds great. This unit comes with a mic that calibrates to a flat response and then adjust the time difference for each speaker. I have the stock front speakers and some 5 1/4 pioneers in the rear. There was no problem with it fitting.

And the Modifry DCI unit is a great addition, you can use Ch + the volume button to switch folders on your MP3 cds

Wow, that does look great! The DCI emitter is hardly noticable too. Any issues with installation? (mounting kits, wiring, etc)

piece of cake, just wire everything to the harness and pull the ears off the stock HU, plug it in and screw it in there. The hardest part was pushing the wires to the side a little so i could cram em all in behind the head unit, im sure if i trimmed em alot before the install even that wouldnt be a problem.

I've been considering that unit. Do you have any complaints? From the research I've done, I've read many reports of the pre-out signal being noisy due to how the unit tries to isolate the ground signal from the chassis ground.

Also, why did you go with the hokey IR thing? I believe that unit has a wired remote interface, correct?

I think Sony is the only one with the wired remotes, As for the noise, I got this unit when i had my accord, it was run to a Cadence Z8000 through Stinger Dream RCA cables, then up to some CDT EF-61s and it didnt have any noise that i could hear. but with the S2k even if it did I just cant see it being a problem if the car is moving or even running(especially with the top down.) If you can hear noise that loud you have some other major issue or bat ears or something haha.

On modifry's site it says hardwire for Sony and Pioneer. On the S2K marketplace it only says Sony. I wish I noticed that before I purchased the infrared.

the premier has 6.5v preouts and "network mode"
network mode makes the front two channels Highs the rear outs Mids and the sub preouts are still sub heh. The extra power is useful id guess, but i cant see the network mode being of any use to you unless you're bi-amping some components
