Default Please offer suggestions on 6.5" speakers that require little to no modification.

This should probably go in the FAQ when it gets going, but here is the list:

How about suggesting specific models of 6.5" speakers that will fit in an S2000 with little to no modification to the car.

Just some clarification......

There are NO speakers that fit the stock location. (99.99%)

They are.....

a) Too deep
b)holes dont line up
c)baskets are to big and require metal cutting.

MOST speakers are option B. TO solve with.....you cut off the ring from the Honda basket, and screw them into the ring. Then you can REUSE the stock screw holes. If you do not do this....you will have to drill into your door.

Most focals, all infinitys, bostons, diamonds, Alpines, Pioneers, Kenwoods, Panasonic, MBQuarts (Qs need a spacer), and more. All speakers will need a little modding here or there, so dont worry about it. THose honda baskets are like 11 bucks a pop, so dont worry about cutting them.

Just a little clarification, I am cool with option B speakers. Hell, my baskets are hacked up already.

I am not interested in cutting metal.

I would rather not have to make a spacer, but I would if I had to.

The clarification you made is excellent, and helpful.

So any specific suggestions on speakers that fall into the group "B" category?

very few speakers require cutting metal that i know of...

many of the deeper ones require a spacer.

and an MDF spacer isn't too tough to make... also, Lucid sells his spacers as well to help w/ the problem. finally, i know of someone else who might help you out and make a spacer.... shoot me a PM if interested. (no, it won't be me... i'm way too busy juggling babies. )

I could probably be persuaded to make you some spacers. I already have some MDF that I think is the right thickness. Let me know.

I'm not sure you could get much of anything from Lucid anytime soon anyway.

What thickness is it? I am sure I can make it myself, but knowing the material thickness would speed things along. (I realize it's not an EXACT science)
