Polk 6530 component speakers
Inside the door panel, near the bottom-back of the panel there is a plastic box/void. I unscrewed the screws holding it onto the door panel. Screwed my Polk 6530 crossover into that panel box. Screw the box back on. Repeat on other door.
Do it. . . . . Easy install and the 6530s made a world of difference. I also installed an inexpensive set of rear speakers for fill. I am sooooo glad I didn't invest a bucket full of money on amp, headunit, etc. Plenty of room behind door panels for X-overs (I used velcro). Check this thread, it was very very helpful. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=99011

Sorry-quick question:
Are you alluding to simply using the Head Unit with the Polk system? If so, can I assume the Polk's are replacements for the original door speakers?
I apologize, but I clearly know little about sound systems.
Thx-Rob.

That's correct Rob. The OEM headunit is not that bad with decent speakers. Let me put to you on a 1 - 10 scale. The OEM set up was a 5 at best. The additional rear speakers and the Polk 6530 replacement raised the bar to a solid 8.
$129 Polk 6530
$ 40 Lucid adapter
$ 40 Rear 4" Lightning Audio Coaxials
By the way Vancouver is a great town. Have you tried Cin Cin it's a GREAT little Italian place. Also, my wife and I got the biggest kick out of the Condom Store that, at first, reminded us of a candy shop. Oh and the island.
