Thumbs up Polk db6501 installation

I'm just about sold on these speaker componants after reading everyone's reviews, but my question is where are you guys mounting the tweeters and the crossovers? Also, is everyone running new wires? I'm trying to get a good bang for the buck using the stock wiring, and running from my Panasonic 9800U head unit (digital amp, 70w X 4 max output) What suggestions do you guys have???

I love when I can promote my own threads!

DB6501s are exactly like the DB6500s

I also used stock wiring into the door, then the wiring that came with the polk speakers themselves.

Also shows where and how I mounted Xovers and Tweeds.

The tweeters are to bright you will need to attenuate them at the crossover with a resistor.

They aren't too bright for everyone - I love my MOMO 6500s, and I tuned them from my amp so they sounds perfect.

The 6501's have a +-3 db setting on the crossovers. From other posts, going -3 has seemed to solve the brightness problem. I also have these speakers (not installed yet). I'm planning on mounting the crossovers w/my amp to minimize any rattles in the doors.
