Default Poping a trunk with a Viper 3000

A buddy locked his keys in trunk. He recently installed A viper 3000. Trunk release is not working. Is there a way to power up the trunk release; can we tap into a circuit?

Please help. Friend is stranded.

just ground the red/white wire on the alarm module. Assuming the relay is wired for reverse polarity ( 5-wire) for trunk release.

He removed his spare and had a tiny amp in the spare hole, center console button did not function due to Best Buy Alarm install gone wrong. Keys are in a locked trunk.

1st. Remove passenger seat.
2nd Remove air vent panel behind passenger seat.
3rd Use a long pole such as a broom handle and a flashlight to open trunk via the emergency latch under locking mechanism. Take a look at your trunk and you will see a glow in the dark switch that will open the trunk from the inside. This is to prevent gangstars from locking you in a trunk.

Sounds like he should invest in a trunk monkey.

this would have been much easier. also its positive throw not reversing polarity on the trunk wire no need to isolate the other side.

I'll make a note of it. I was throwing a party so i couldn't get back in time for the simple solution. Thanks guys.

BTW: My trunk monkey is the greatest investment i have made. If you haven't bought one yet, i suggest you do so.
