Default Portable XM install

I'm picking up a new (to me) 2004 S2K in LA next week and driving it back to Ohio. I want to bring my Pioneer Inno. What I'm looking for are tips to routing the antenna wire... Has anyone done it?

The reason I have to ask is I've never even sat in an S2000 before, and I'm not familiar with the interior at all. I'm literally going to rent a car at LAX, run to the guy's apartment, jump in the car and head home.

Thanks in advance,

Pete

That's a little bit of a white lie....... I've sat in them, but never driven in one or spent time getting to know one really well.

It goes like this; I have a friend in the LA area that got a screaming deal on his. He's been raving about it ever since he got it. Anyway, he got a new company car (BMW 3 conv.) and offered his S2K to me and passed his great deal on to me, so I couldn't resist. My wife and I were working on getting a sports car when the chance came up. So, yes I did buy it without driving one, but I think under the circumstances, it's OK...... ... ... ... ... ??

Thanks! I checked your web page and really dig that screen you molded in. That would give me a good reason to head up Cleveland way. I'll check the MLB schedule and maybe ride up for a weekend and catch the Reds/Indians while I'm at it. One of my best friends is from Youngstown and we usually do that every year.

It would be cool to mount the Inno in a more unobtrusive way than stuck to the dash or an air vent. Looking forward to it,

Pete

I have an Inno and just installed the car dock the other day.

I have the XM antenna right next to the radio antenna. This is how I did it:

1.) I snaked the wire through the trunk
2.) Then through the spare tire well
3.) Into the car through the vented panel right behind the passenger seat
4.) Tucked the wire through the center console leather on the passenger side.

I'll get some pics of it tomorrow for you.
