Lets cover the simple things first. Do you have the main window switch on? Do both windows automatically go down when you lower the convertible top? By the way, fuse #18 (20amp) under the dash powers the passenger side window (only). It would be a good place to start.

i didn't test the convertible top.
the #18 fuse is ok
tested the motor is working
and tested the switchs by follow the manual CD bought from Ebay, the Euro version---<Honda ESM-S2000>, both of the switches are not good. but my father told me some of cars sold in CA are different than other state or contries
so I am asking for the correct direction to test the switches........
hope you understand my bad English......
thx

There is no difference in CA models from other states, as far as I know. There are some differences in the Canadian models, but not in the window circuits. If you have the manual then you can follow the wiring.

Seems odd though, that both switches are bad. The passenger side window is controlled by the convertible top controller. With the window main switch on, if you try to raise the window with either switch, you should get 12V at the Blu/Red wire at pin 8 of connector B of the convertible top controller, which is under the dash under the pass air bag. If you do then the switches are OK.

Why don't you lower the convertible top and see what happens?

I see that you are a new owner so you may not know of this feature. On my '04, when I lower the top, the windows automatically go down.

So if you lower the top and the windows automatically go down, then you have confirmed that the window controller part of the convertible top controller, motors and all wiring to the doors are OK.

Just an easy process of elimination. This is of course assuming that your '01 had this feature to begin with. Mine is '04, don't know about earlier years. Check your manual, if you have it.

On the driver's door, there is a passenger side window lock out switch. Is this switch in the correct position to allow the passenger side window to work?

If you can use the switch on the drivers side to lower the passenger window, then the main switch is in the proper position. So now it seems we have narrowed it down to the passenger side window switch or its wiring.

With the ignition switch on, you should have 12v at the RED/WHT wire and RED/BLU wire on the passenger side switch, measured from ground, and zero volts on BLU/WHT and BLU/RED wires.

When you pull the switch up, you should get 12V on the BLU/RED and RED/BLU wires and zero volts on the BLU/WHT wire.

When you press it down, you should get 12V at the BLU/WHT wire and zero volts on the BLU/RED and RED/BLU wires.

The black wire should be grounded at all times.

Good luck!
