Default Problems with cd deck

I'm trying to install a JVC-LH1100 cd deck. I spliced all the wires together and it was working just fine....then the wires must of touched and I blew my radio fuse. So I went to the store and bought the same 15 amp fuse. I installed the fuse, and made sure none of the stereo wires touched. When I turn on the key, the radio will not light up/work. When you go to eject the disc though, it flips down and I see the light on....and the cd slides right out. The fuse is good, and everything else electrical works. Thinking I may of done damaged to the radio some how, I plugged in my stock one. When you turn on the headlights, it lights up. For some reason though I can't get it to turn on. I'm thinking it may be something simple that I'm not doing correctly. Its a 2001 s2000......

check the fuse box under the hood and locate the fuse labeled "back up". I believe this is your problem.

there are two fuses in the under-dash fuse box that are needed for
the headunit -
#22 15amp (I think this is the one you changed)
#9 10amp (headunit & 12v outlet)
