Problems with Lucid....Is this typical ???
I've been waiting for a month now for my door speaker kit. I ordered the Kenwood Excelon 178 speaker kit back on 4/1/03. I sent a few emails and voice mails and finally got a response that they were waiting on the speaker adapters from a vendor but that they would be in on 4/15/03 and should ship by 4/18/03 and I would be called so I would be sure they shipped. I called again on 4/22/03 inquiring as to status and was told again that they were still waiting parts and that they would be in by 4/24/03 and that my order should ship by 4/25/03 and that I would be called to confirm shipment....
Well here it is 4/28/03...no phone call, no speakers..... It seemed like Lucid had good feedback on this board, but 30 days for a set of $200.00 speakers seems a little excessive. Is this typical performance from these folks or am I experiencing a freak occurance ?

I'm having a similar experience. I ordered the dash control unit for Sony decks on 4/5. Apparently they're still on back order. It's been a while but I'll give Lucid the benefit of the doubt for now, as this is my second order from them, and the first one was timely, so I'm hoping this is just a freak thing.
Its best to phone or email because these don't always get checked. Nobody was around today to follow up and this left on a friday.
Delays DO happen and nobody gets billed until the day unit ships.

Thanks for the update Lucid. I'm glad they shipped. Like I indicated in my original post, you guys had good feedback and folks seemed pleased with your service. Looks like I just got caught up in a freak thingie.
