Sorry guys, I have no plans to sell this mod as is. I'm working on other alternatives in my free time, but that's not very often. I'll be sure to post my results.

I want to buy the blue parts to make my gauge blue too. How and when can I get them? From whom?

Qube if you do sell it, you can put me down on your list of buyers
Hopefully you will make it available to the rest of the S2K world LOL

Qube -

any chance you might share some things you learned. I love the way the EL foil looks in the first pics you posted. And I like the blue, because (to my eyes) it stands out against the brake lights in LA. I'm trying out Randy's filters, blue and red, and whatever color (or combo) I decide on, I plan to change the switches in the car to match. I haven't taken the dash apart yet, so I don't know what I'm in for. Maybe some filter material like Randy's or maybe some LED soldering..... I'm wondering: did you change the the lights in the indicators (like the green in the fan switch) to match your blue scheme, and are they similar to changing the button lights themselves.

I know you mentioned previously you were hesitant to share what you were doing because it was experimental. If you want to PM me that would be okay, I'll keep my mouth shut . If you prefer to keep it to yourself for now, I'll understand.

Nice stuff, and thanks for sharing.

EDIT*

and if you're still exploring this and there is anything I can help with let me know, I'm no electrical genious, but I am an able body (with a willing s2000). I'm in the area

DJCUbe is absolutely right becaus eI tried it also with EL-sheet already...it looks really nice during night bu tin bright daylight you can hardly see the speedo...you could push the inverters but they wouldn't last long then.

We nee dto find a supplier which makes EL sheets with higher output brightness!

Thank You, Yves! Well said.

I would have had my LED's changed to blue or white already but i am to lazy to find the voltage of them. If anyone has what they are running at i would like for you to share.

One thing to be aware of...if you merely swap blue or white LEDs in for another color, pay attention to any current sropping resistors around it. Blue and white LEDS (whites are nothing more than blues with a phosphor coating) run around 4V whereas reds and greens tend to run closer to 1.7-2.1V. With the increased voltage drop, the blue/white LEDs are going to be less bright without a change in the resistors.
