Hey guys, my brain if fried....

Does anyone recall....

S-Video cables, do they only carry video signal or video AND audio?

I know its a retard question, but I just dont remember, and need to know.

S-Video is video only. The only video cables that pass audio are the RF (the old standard cable connection...can't think of the name for that type of connector) and the latest video connection type, which are HDMI cables, they looks like a data connector for a pc and it passes a digital audio signal.

At one point there was a version they (believe it was Panasonic, but could be wrong) were trying called SA-Video

Lasted for about 20 minutes when someone realized that you could only get 2 channels of audio through it and the Q would be the same as the typical RCA connections. Soon after digital 5.1 came out and it ended up sitting on the shelf next to the BETA (although superior technology to VHS) players.
