quick question for Ipod and stock HU
I search through the forums and the electronic sticky, which says
so to do this i don't need any ipod adapter of some sort, just plug it right in?
if it helps i have an 04
Optimally, i.e. bang for buck, you should hardwire the ipod into your Head unit, the most basic method would be taking a 3.5 mm headphone or line out jack to RCA, then plugging the RCAs into an Aux in on the back of your head unit. You control the playlist via the ipod itself. Direct connections are always superior to an FM Modulator.

That one will get your ipod music onto your factory head unit ONLY through an auxiliarly line input, which means you're not charging your Ipod and you won't be controlling it through the stereo controls.
you want something like this (which is what I have)

the ability to charge your Ipod in the car all through one adapter is priceless!
