Default Radar adaptive cruise control

Good morning, all...

Do any of you know how the cruise control in the S2000 connects to the rest of the systems?

And, are you aware of any aftermarket radar adaptive cruise control systems that can be installed in the S2000?

(Radar adaptive cruise control is a system that automatically adjusts your speed to maintain a user-preset distance from the vehicle ahead... been available as a factory option on higher-end cars e.g. Mercedes since the late 1990's.)

My guess is that the S2000's built-in cruise control probably gets its speed from the ODB-II data stream from the onboard computer, and then drives a servo that operates the throttle.

If that's the case, it should be relatively easy to tap into the ODB-II data stream that feeds the cruise control computer, so that if the adaptive cruise control detects that you're getting too close to the car ahead, it can lie to the built-in cruise control (i.e. tell it that you're going faster than you really are) and the car will slow down.

I'm a software engineering consultant in my day job (see www.rkt-tech.com) and would be able to design and build such a system (if it doesn't already exist for the S2000) if I can figure out how to tap it in to the built-in cruise control's sensor inputs.

i have an AEM EMS and the OBD-II doesnt work anymore, but my cruise control still does, So i don't think it works via that. I'm sure its just reading the vehicle speed and going from there, at least on the non DBW.
