I've got the cordless escort/passport. Seems to work very well, but the new X50 and the Valentine 1 are supposed to be a little better. Cordless is the way to go IMO.

Escort SR7 mounted in front of instrument cluster, just behind my steering wheel.

Mute button mounted just below the cruise (on-off) switch.

Shifters and detectors mounted front and rear.

Mine is the same way, but to the left of the mirror. This is the optimum location for a radar in an S2000 IMHO (near the rear view mirror, right or left)

I put my V1 on a mount stuck to the center of the dash with sticky velcro, just aft of the window so that I can get a sunscreen in there. The mount is a piece from Radio Shack, bent into a Z-shape, with the V1 clip screwed to it upside down. I use a velcro strap to hold the V1 in place (and to quickly take it off when I park in questionable places). It's hardwired to the taps over by the clutch pedal, wire running between the dash and the windshield. Because it's centered, it sees to the rear between the seats. Works great. HPH

I wanted a clean, invisible, stealthy-look so I went with Passport SR7 & ZR3 combination mounted in the air return above the radio door. I never use that vent anyway.

Here's a link to the write up with pictures
