Default Radar detector mounting location

Just mounted my Passport in front of the wind screen based on instructions from a thread I read here. looks good!
Don't want to hard wire it & we all know where the power outlet is.
Will it work just as well here as it would mounted with section cups to the front windshield?
thks...

Yeah, Steet Road sucks.. I hate that road. I ususally take the back roads to work but even those are snarled most of the time.

I bought my 03 new last August. Awesome car! Just wish there was more open road around here, or at least less cars.

Found some pretty good twisties here in the Richboro area near some corn fields that remain!
Not many cars & it gives me a chance to see what this car can do
So far I'm impressed
This car has it all, looks, speed & handling
Do you know anything about my radar question?
thks.

No, your radar detector probably will not work as well. Shouldn't be bad though. The primary difference will be with it's "field of view" around the car.

Wonder why Honda put the power outlet between the seats?
Guess I could get a really long power cord!

Or hardwire it.

Why don't you want to go this route? Even if you have NEVER done ANYTHING like this before it should take you less than 1 hr. We can help walk you through it.
