radio code doesn't work
Was at mall today. Left headlights on. Battery died. Radio asked for code after jump start. Found code (thanks to previous foum posts) on sticker in glove box. Entered it a few times, but it doesnt work. My car is rebuilt (branded title). Does that have anything to do with it not working? Would really not like to pay $80 at honda dealership to get this fixed. Any help provided much appreciated. Please respond via email:

if the headunit is not the same one that the factory put in, the code will not work. That is in general, I do not know if it applies to S2000.
If it's just the wrong code, many dealers are able to get you the right code for a few bucks and in some cases, they just give it to you.

the honda dealer should not charge if you have the serial number from the rado, better yet have the radio in hand out of the car.
you are only allowed so many failed code tries.
on a 01 the oem radio was not hard to remove but it is a junk radio tho, shame the owner has to go through all this.

The radio code is NOT on a sticker in the glove box. That is the SERIAL number off the head unit. Just go to the honda dealer with that serial number and your insurance card and ID and they should give you the radio code.

My 2002 has a card in the glovebox with both the code and serial number. You will know you have the right card because it give you the instructions on how to enter the code. By the way, the code is all numbers that can be entered on the preset buttons.

Robert, if your radio is the original for your car call Honda World in Westminster with your VIN number and they'll hook you up. They're at http://www.ochondaworld.com. I had to call my dealer for the same problem once. It's a big PITA.

It was a five digit number FOLLOWED BY some weird set of numbers.
