You only get I think 3 chances to enter the code. If you dont do it right, you have to reset the power to the radio to try again.

Thanks, the code is exactly what the local dealer gave me. When I turn on the radio instead of getting "code" i get "err 1, err2, err3, and now err4" code. Is this the problem? Perhaps I need to reset the system again??

Did it ever say "CODE"? If not, then it never was looking for the code. If it did and you tried to enter several times unsucsessfully then it started with the ERR1, etc. then others are right and you need to disconnect power and reattach it to start again. You can try pulling both radio fuses.

Thanks,

Yes the first time it asked for the code, which I input incorrectly. Time to pull the plug and start over.

actually, you can probably just pull the radio and accessory fuses to reset it. heck, even the accessory fuse may be enough.
