Default Radio Code... Quick Question

Hey everyone,

I know this has been talked about for years now, but I just recently took my car out of storage and obviously my radio needs the code to be inputed to work.

Well I dont have my radio code card and I've searched high and low only to find the following information...

In my glove box, actually the secret compartment, there is a code that reads;

00A****8

Now I got VERY excited to find this and turned to my radio only to realize before i did anything that my radio does not have 8 numbers on it, lol.

I know the code is a 5 digit code so i figured "****8" but what the hell is the eight?

Anyone know? Anyone care to help?

Thanks a lot!

-Paul

You can take that number string to the dealer and they can look up your radio code. I had to do this about 2 months ago and it took the service tech about 30 seconds to look it up and they didn't charge for it.

Right, they use that number inside the center console to get the actual radio code.
