Default Rear Speaker Install (Pics)

I just finished installing speakers in the rear panels. CC put in a new Alpine receiver, Infinity speakers in the doors and a Bazooka subwoofer in the trunk. I had the original speakers left over and decided I might as well put them to good use.

The rear, quarter, and sill panels are easy to remove (and easy to scratch so be careful).

I tapped the Bazooka lead at the door sill and had short runs to the rear panels.

The hardest part is to properly align the speakers on the panels. This takes patience and you may have to rework one or both of your cuts, but the end result is worth it!

There isn't much room between the metal frame members. I considered cutting some of the metal, but decided I didn't want to degrade the structural properties at this location. It's not necessary if you align things properly.

The finished product.

PS: Don't you just love that RED!!!

I have done this years ago but I dont remember the size. Im sure there are other threads covering this. Just search some more, like:

'Largest speaker size rear panel'

Or similar.
