Rear Speakers: done and done!
Yes, it is 2:31 am and I just finished the rear speakers. Sound is pretty good. Great improvement.
I used my existing 6.5" Polks (older EXII). The fit is very snug. I had a hard time placing the speakers in the right place on the driver side due to the passing-through wire harness. I can see why 5.25" is the largest recommended size. My Polks are fairly shallow compare to most 6.5"s. The magnet barely passed through the opening in the body, as I didn't do any cuttings of the metal.
On the other hand, for my purpose it feels like there is no need for a sub at this point. I can feel the bass through the back of the seat which helps with the experience.
Anyway I've heard better, but I think this is pretty good for a noisy convertible.
Good Night.

EX II 602a, last years model.
I am very slow and also had to do this between other things. About one hour to take the stereo out, measure the area behind the seat and see if and how the speakers would fit, 45 min to cut the panels and prepare them for mounting, 2 hours to fit and run the wires and solder to the lucid harnewss. so 3:45.
If I were to do it on a second S2k now, the whole thing should not take more than 60-90 working minutes. potential problems exist as the magnets didn't really want to fit.
