Default Remote Display Locations for V1

Been searching and reading this morning through a variety of threads. Most have discussed where they mounted the actual v1. However, I'm wondering where people are mounting their remote display. I want to place it somewhere that will minimize my attention off the road (so not in cupholder).
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I bought a remote display when I got my unit several years ago. I have never found a place to put the remote display that I like and that the install looks clean.

I just keep my unit to the right of the rearview and I'm happy.

I think (unless you live in a state where radars are illegal) the remote display in an s2000 is silly. There are only a handful of places where the V1 will have a clear view forward, and backward...which is to the left/right of the rearview mirror. Not like the s2000 is such a big car where you would have trouble seeing the display.

I wouldnt bother with it.

I've seen people say they mounted the remote display in the far left corner of the windshield, that way it is in line of sight for the driver out the front window. I also just ordered a V1 with the remote display (hopefully it will be in today!).

The benefit I see of the remote display is that you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Even though mounting the unit next to the mirror is easy to see, you still need to look up and right, which takes your eyes off the road while you're speeding. I also usually drive with my radio cranked up, which means It will be a lot harder to hear the audible warnings. For those reasons, I think it's a worthhile investment, but I'll have to wait until after its installed to see.

I think the best reason for the remote display is that it blacks out the
main unit, so when driving at night the whole world doesn't see it
flashing like Vegas. That said, I haven't found a great location
(without dash surgery) that allows you to see it, makes hitting the
mute button easy, and doesn't block anything else.

I intend on putting mine in the lower left corner of the windshield, on the dash. The remote display is small enough it won't be that noticeable.

I've seen some of his work, real clean if you want to go that way.
