Default Remote Start and door unlock help 2005

Hey guys,

I am in the process of installing a Compustar Pro 2WSSR into my 2005 Honda S2000.

Door Unlock - I am having an issue with the door unlock not working properly. I used a 5wi setup as described in the wiring diagram. The door lock works just fine with the 5wi setup. I tied the yellow/green and pink/blue wires together into the 5wi setup since it shows there are 2 unlock wires.

Remote Start - I am in the initial testing phases of the remote start. I have not hooked up the keysense (is it needed?), clutch, or immobilizer bypass.

My testing is as follows: (1) set car in remote start reservation mode (2) push in clutch (3) insert key but did not turn the key (4) remote start the car. It would not crank but the dash lights flash.

I tried this again but in step 3, I turned the key to the accessory position. The result was the same.

I tried this again but in step 3, I turned the key to the ignition position. The car was able to start. It sounds like I may have one or both of the ignition wires hooked up incorrectly. I used the black/yellow (1st ignition) and the black/red (2nd ignition controlled by relay)

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

Isn't the keysense activated when you insert the key into the ignition. It doesn't matter if the key is turned to I or II right?

You must use two seperate 5 wire modules for the s2000, u cant combine and use one..

The s2k also has 3 ignition wires.
I ran into the same problem as you did.

they don't ever mention a 3rd ignition wire in any of the wiring diagrams i've seen for the s2000. that's odd but that's what i suspected. not sure what's going on with the doors lock/unlock. i hear the door unlock working now after i rewired it but i think i fried the motor because it's not strong enough to unlock. now the lock through the factory keyfob doesn't work (possibly damaged the keyless entry module) but the lock through the compustar works because it controls the lock motor directly.

which bypass module are you using for the remote start?

I installed the same alarm with remote start a while back and the wiring I was given for the fortin bypass module was completely wrong... I had to end up referencing a wiring service manual to figure it out - unfortunately my memory fails me at this point so I'm no help there - although I do remember being incredibly frustrated lol

Secondly, the lock and unlock outputs from the alarm should be plugged into two empty slots on the keyless entry module. I had this same issue where I was trying to tap into existing wires, and it was NOT working.

I believe they are two empty pin slots on the end of the keyless entry module

Keep in mind this was on an 04 with no factory alarm so it may be different

For future notice everyone..
S2000 have 1 Lock wire for both doors,
They have 1 unlock wire for one door and 1 unlock wire for the other.
If you use 2 5wire relay packs it works great. (second 5wire is only hooked up to the other unlock...

Tip: remember the driver door has to be closed to lock (safte feature from honda)

All years are the same, well up to 06..
I have done every year besides 07 and 08's so cannot promiss on those..
