Default Right Front Indicator Light problem?

When I press the lock button on the remote, are all four corner bulbs supposed to flash? In my 2001, the right front yellow indicator does not flash. The left front one as well as both back ones flash properly, and I can't imagine that only 3 of the 4 should do it, so I think it must be a problem on the alarm control side (as opposed to the light's wiring). It works fine for the turn indicator and works fine for the parking lights, just not for the alarm flash. I do not see how it could be a wiring problem with the light fixture since the same light bulb works for the other functions. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

might be the bulb itself is slow to respond to current. the signals make it b/c its giving it a longer "burst" of power. Try swapping bulbs to isolate if its the bulb or wiring. It is possible that the alrm is wired behind a diode on that aprticular light i suppose. good luck

Check again, and see if the one that works is the parking light bulb that flashes ON, or the turn signal bulb. The parking light bulb is only 5 watts and is hard to see if there is anywhere close to full sunshine. On my alarm (and I'm assuming all alarms are wired the same) the parking light flashes for the alarm. And looking at the wiring diagram, there is no way that one parking light bulb will go ON and not the other for the alarm flash, but both go on for parking lights (unless it was purposely done that way by modifying the wiring within the car). I doubt that its in the alarm control. A single wire from the alarm tapped into the proper wire will get all four corners (as well as the license frame light) to flash together.

If its the bright 20 watt turn signal bulb that is flashing for the alarm, I would say that the installer screwed up and tapped into the wrong wire (tapped into the left turn signal wire instead of the parking light wire). But then again, if the rear parking lights are flashing for the alarm, than the front parking lights should flash also. Does the license frame light or the side front fender (amber lights near the "S2000") lights flash also? Are the rear lights that flash red or amber?

I know this is way old but, has anyone else experienced this problem? I have the OEM setup and when I lock the doors the passenger front does not blink, everything else does.

I have the exact same issue which I have ignored for years. I would like to find a fix as well.

isn't the turn signal bulb and the marker light 2 different bulbs?

the markers flash when you lock the car, not the turn signals

i'd check that

My left front one does it. The indicator light and turn signal lights are 2 different ones. My friend works at Honda and he said there is a weakness in the clips and they break or become weak very often and cause shorts. He said he replaces them very often on S2K's and its not the bulb its the clip itself. Hope this helps.
