Had I known all this before hand I'd of not purchased this system!
Which begs the question, what would you have bought instead?

All these little hurdles and the way the S2000 community comes together to fix them is what makes this experience such a joy IMNSHO.

To be honest, I knew from the start the car would require much tuning and... I'm just disappointed the basic setup for this requires so much effort just to get working.

Though at the time I bought the EMS, I was going to have Sean fly to Germany to tune my car... Never got to install the EMS, because the engine I installed was faulty. One year after the fact, and one rebuilt engine later... I now have the EMS and wideband installed, but Sean no longer works at torque freaks. Granted it's not his, or torque freaks fault, but I am feeling a bit chaffed about my situation.

As for what I would of reaplced the system with... I may of stayed with the APEXI and AFC Wideband combination. While granted it's not the robust system the EMS is, it's alot easier to setup.

Only reason I stayed on the EMS path was that I wanted to have a stable running car (professionally tuned)... Right now I am working with Torque Freaks to correct the issues I am facing, but it looks like this is going to be alot more involved the I expected it to be... BTW: I completed my engine and EMS install over a month ago, and I have been working slowly with the EMS ever since, and still do not feel the car is road worthy. Week after week I have used up my days off if the hope that the next correction, cal or clue from forums is of help but so far all I've done is run the car around the block once.

Just so you know... I'm not the sort seeking "Instant gratification" or results. I've spent my whole life working with electronics, aircraft, computers, and component level systems as a calibrator for the US Navy. Needless to say, I've learned to be patience, to do my research, and above all else take my time with something new.

Once last thing AusS2000, I'd like to look at your cal if i could... Granted with all my raving I may not be worthy, as such. Tis just I am geting very frustrated, as it is now spring and all i can think about doing is taking my S out for a spin! (I miss it so much) With my posts, it is not my intention to offend... though I do tend to vent a bit in forums.
