Hey, I just bought a 2000 ap1 and when I bought it, the guy told me he changed the battery and the radio locked up and he hadnt had time to fix it. The screen wont show anything no matter what buttons I push but at night the buttons illuminate so I know the radio is getting power. Any1 have any ideas? I have the code, I just cant get the screen to input it.

After you try to turn the radio on, that's when it will ask you for the code. So push the power button, wait a bit, then type the code.

 

Disconnect the battery for 60 seconds to reset it,. When you turn the car on the first time it will say CODE on the display. You have to enter the code you have with the 1-2-3-4-5-6 preset buttons and it will beep once and show channel 87.7. Set your preferences for stations
