this is my idea of not only 1 but 2 of kicker cvt8-4's inside the console of the S. as you can see in pictures, one faces up and the other faces towards rear of car. its alot of bass and i can definitely adjust it with the head unit. rap/hip hop its @ -7 on a -10/+10 scale. amp is a kicker 200.2 one channel amp bridged. wow!! video really does no justice on the feel/sound. its been a long time coming this project but its finally done!!!!





comments welcomed please. i wish i could have you guys hear/feel it. and oh yea, my trunk is totally empty and yes i found out a rattle that was hard to find..................the lock on the console door vibrates enuf to cause unwanted noise so i fixed that and no rattles at all.

thank you very much. its been a loooooooooong project. heres my next one that was done very quickly as soon as i got the hoops installed. the tweeters that came with the hoops didnt give out much sound so i installed my kicker ones. now i need another pair of kicker tweeters. the highs with the two 8 subs in console sound so great!!


yes i need to do somethin about the hoops bein held by a zip tie.

 

were you able to keep the front-facing compartment?

 

sorta. its enuf room for me. once i started adding more bass to my system i had to get rid of unwanted rattles/noises.

i also use this for my insurance papers or just any other papers in general

 

did you have to relocate the trunk release then too? i like this idea, just trying to see what needs to be sacrificed. i'd be happy with one jl sub i think. i don't want crazy bass, but compared to my dd i've got nothing in the S

 

yes of course i moved the trunk switch. that thing always needed a new spot not visible to eye besides behind a rattling key cylinder on front pocket of console. kinda like the gas door button.

couldve found different spot but that will be soon cause i had idea of speakers inside the middle of the hoops but that went away as soon as i heard the sound from the kicker tweeters inside the sides of the hoops. now i need some panels without the top holes dug out like i did. new ideas everyday!

 

The sub idea is very cool, would I personally do it.. Nah. The tweeters though is an amazing idea! Would love a DIY or a kit made for that. Nice job

edit: just realised it has to be AP2, AP1s dont have these. Damn, no wonder it was a good idea! Ap2 to Ap1 Conversion DIY anyone
