There have been a few S2000's with underbody neons, but they have all been driven away because of the Anti-Rice Patrol. No, I don't have neon, but I have a big CF spoiler, so flame me why don't you!

An interesting point about CF hoods was brought up by a knowledgeable associate at the Dragon. CF does not bend & is heavily resistant to shattering. So, it will not crumple in a head on collision, instead it will most likely release from the anchor points and fly back into the cockpit, flat. Not unlike a guillotine.
That's enough to persuade me from purchasing one.

I couldn't care one bit about y'alls opinions... I think LED's and neon done right look good! A light show accompanying a great stereo install makes a big difference. It's all about presentation.
IF my stereo system is ever finished, LED's will be abundant! And I'll still be able to out-drive most of you non-lighted peeps!

Tenblade, what's your take on CF hoods, would they shatter like fiberglass? That's always been my assumption. But the whole guillotine thing scared me
I guess you would know. What happens to carbon fiber hoods in a head on accident?
Skip , Tenn folks don't know what's a comin'
"Yes'm....it was a strange metal thaang ant it chaned kolor an 't flew by wit dancin' lites all 'round. Yould hear de engine a goin thump thump roar, sounded like the devil, you've never 'eard such a sound be'fore... The aliens looked like Starsky...but it flew by powerful quick like a lightening....wit all deees odders behind it....Strangest thang dat 'ever 'appened 'round these parts since the lost car race down Juneabell's driver way..."

I think there a lot of assumptions in that stating CF would behave as you were told. CF is strong, and fracture resitant, but it will break. Most likely, in a front end collision the hood would stay attached and snap in the middle i.e. the front would still be anchored by the front latch and the rears with the bolts. Additionally, if you were really worried about it, you could use hood pins.
It reminds me of when people were worried that having a X-brace would keep the engine from dropping, in the event of a front end collision, and thus crush the driver's legs....hogwash!
