Does anyone know if our stock headunit will plug into a '95 civic EX? (fiancee's car)
Thanks! (I know, this may belong in the "electronics" forum, but not that many of us look there.)

Well I do think it belongs over there being the moderator:
That aside. The S radio WILL plug in to the car but the better question will it fit and mount! It is designed for the S not the Civic.
Good luck though.

Double check mounting/screw points on both radio's.

All of the above.
That said, I upgraded my GF's 91 Civic and my S at about the same time and was amazed at how similar they are. The CD changer connector is identical for example.
Remember that the S radio has no connections for rear speakers so if the Civic in queation has rears you'll have to run them off an amp (blah blah).
Me thinks you're just trying to justify your audio upgrade by shifting the S radio to the Civic .

AusS2000- THAT'S something I didn't think about! (the rear speakers) There are no rear outputs? I'd think that it would be more costly to make a unit specifically for the S2000 without rear outputs than to just throw in a stock unit from the other models. When I picked up my car the dealer showed me that it does have a fader, but that there simply were no rear speakers. I always assumed there would still be outputs. oh well.
Thanks for the replies! Once again, our board has been a BIG help.

The S2000 is not wired for rear speakers. I do believe the radio does output power.

Now I'm getting confused! I don't feel like pulling out my unit right now. Have any of you guys seen the back of the stock unit? Does it have rear outputs? Better yet, has anyone actually hooked up rear channels?? Thanks again!

Don't be confused. That's just Pinky reiterating what's already been said. Sort of like a moderators seal of approval
I have replaced my head unit with a Sony. I have the stock sitting on a shelf in my garage with all the other S2000 stock pieces I've replaced (and they'll probably sit there for a very long time).
The Aus stock head does NOT have the leads for rear output, nor spades on the connector for them. I highly expect the amp circuit internally is there for them as this is only a slightly modified Alpine unit. That said, I can't think of any justification for attempting to rig this unit up for 4 speaker output when there are other units out there for only a couple of hundred dollars.
