Default S2Ker needs Stereo HELP (for a Prelude)!

I'm trying to install a new stereo into my bro's Gen 5 prelude. Unfortunately there's not a wealth of info for his car, so hopefully someone here could help me.
When I installed his stereo (a JVC KD-SX990), the rear speakers don't work. I've done many stereo's before, including my S2000, so I KNOW that the wiring is correct. I'm starting to think it's something to do with the Acoustic Feedback System that is originally on the car. Can anyone help me get around this?

Thanks,
-Chris

Maybe you forgot to connect the remote turn on wire for the afbs moudule to the new HU?

I'll see if I have some printed docs from the old "hondaprelude.com" days, I'll let you know if i find anything else.

Good luck!

Shoot... I don't remember how I got around this problem with my prelude... I suggest asking on Honda-tech in the prelude section I imagine they will know right off what you need to hook up or unhook...
If you can't find the answer there let me know, I have the factory service manual for the 5th gen laying around somewhere and I will dig it out and figure it out.

Any chance this Prelude has an external amplifier that needs to be bypassed with an aftermarket HU?

Got it! The acoustic feedback box in the trunk needs to by be bypassed. It's working great now.

Thanks for the help!
