SAT question...
I subscribe to SIRIUS and have a Sportster unit which splits time between my daily driver (not the S) and my wife's family hauler (each has a car kit)...
I'd like satellite service through the new head unit (Alpine 9856) to be installed in my S2000 so I plan on buying a SIRIUS satellite radio tuner that plugs into the back of the deck...
Has anyone done this with SIRIUS service? Does it work well? Did SIRIUS charge anything in addition to the standard monthly rate for service?
Thanks

Im lost, so are you transfering the service from the Sportster to the new SIR-ALP1 sat tuner? If so, no charge. If you are adding it additionally than you will have another bill each month for the new unit.

I did a similar move with an XM aftermarket to an Alpine 9855.
The integration of SAT into the headunit is nice- less wires and clutter.
I am a little disappointed in the interface, though. I find the Alpine tuner to be very slow when changing stations and waiting for the song name to come up.
With the aftermarket SAT tuners, you can be listening to one station while scrolling through other stations and see whats playing before you switch. This is not so with the Alpine headunit (unless someone knows how?). If you like to jump stations a lot, this is something to consider.
Just my 2 cents.
