Default Security light?

I'm having a python 660x security system installed tomorrow.
The guy doing the install asked where I would like to have the blinking red security light placed.
I haven't a clue but was wondering where other owners had theirs placed?

Since I don't have a hardtop (and the requisite heater for the window), the switch panel is blank to the right of the wheel. I placed a miniature LED and the valet switch there.

In some of the other installs I've done, I placed the valet switch centered above the steering wheel column cover, and the LED off to the left (still on the column cover).

The oem security alarm has the LED on the console, posterior to the handbrake, to the right of the coin box. In that location, it is obviously a security light, not a protected radio or other device which may also have integral protection. If any of the installation goes under the console, it would be an easy place to reach.

I like them high and very visible as I would prefer the thief to see my LED from a distance and move onto another persons car without an alarm before he gets to friendly with my car - so I mount them in the A-Pillar.

A few "how-to" pics you can print out and bring with you to your installer

Mounted on the grey-silverish trim, behind the shifter, in front of the top switch/hazard switch.

At night, when the high-intensity blue LED flashes it illuminates the car interior with a soft glow.

The 660XP is a pretty good alarm system - same basic electronics as Viper, Hornet, etc... - All made by DEI.

I agree.

You don't want to have to keep bringing the car back for adjustments, re wiring, etc.

Ask to see if they have done an alarm on a S2000 before.
definitely see if they've done an S2000 before... if not, you may want to make time to be around for the install... (since you're getting this for free via a prize, i'm guessing you don't have the option of other installers)
