Default Shaved Antenna

I want to completely shave the antenna. Is there an aftermarket antenna that I could install inside the car that would give me decent reception?

This position works somewhat but I'm not happy with the reception.

Bump to know where the cap came from and how you removed the old antenna!

Do you have a profile shot of the car? It's something I've been thinking about doing, but wasn't sure if I wanted to do or not. Would love to see more pics.

Your S actually has a dozen of these plugs underneath your car. You could find 3 or 4 right underneath where the sides skirts would go. Peel one off. Remove any gunk on it. Alcohol works well. Primer and spray paint it. Done!

As far removing the base, use a long nose plier to unscrew the top. The inside is just one 10 mm bolt. After driving around for a couple of weeks, I find that I do need an aftermarket windshield antenna unless I find a good spot for it inside the cabin without looking too ghetto.

Check this LINK for more photos.

S~Factor,

I was checking on Majestic Honda's online parts catalog, and on this page is the plug displayed as number 7? That plug looks to be placed in the same location as where I had found one on my car.

Thanks again for the help!

there are a couple of marine antennas that could be run along the inside of the rear bumper --they're cheap (under $16) and waterproof. Putting it behind the plastic bumper would improve reception over having it inside the trunk where it's all metal
