Hi, I am a complete retard when it comes to speakers, so

I would appreciate it if the board members would lend their knowledge to me in regards to rear speakers.

I talked to some guy at Al and Ed's autosound and they suggested that I just replace the front speakers with really high end ones and an amp to power it up. Because if I got the rear speakers, its like having a muffled sound kinda because the seats are right in front of the rear speakers.

any thoughts suggestions, or comments?

Im pretty convinced on the lucid speakers, primarily because of the supposed ease of installing them. So any opinions on his products would be very helpful! oh yeah...also ***what type of speakers should I get in the lucid package if I go through with this?***

thanks!

I would definitely go for it. We bought Polk speakers at Circuit City, and had them install the fronts and then we sent the rears and panels to Lucid, who installed them and sent them back REALLY FAST (like 4 days and he's back East). My husband installed them using Lucid's excellent instructions in about an hour or so.

It makes a huge difference, and it's much less expensive than an amp and all that. Surprisingly, it doesn't sound muffled, although you do get a nice vibration on your back if you have a real bass-y song and it's loud.

What model year do you have? Ours is a 2000, so the stereo really sucks.

I heard the 2002's are better.

I purchased the Polk 4-speaker bundle. Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv it!

No muffle... what-so-ever!

No amp, and still using stock head unit. Extreeeeeeemely impressed! And any co-pilots have noticed unsolicited that the sound is incredible.

Asked and answered.

I've had 2 sets of Lucids rears, and I've also done the amp thing (big damn amp too). The Lucid rears made more of an improvement than the amp for listening pleasure.

They work even better when you hook an amp up to them.

The rear speakers made all the difference for me.. I couldnt imagine how good they would sound.. and so easy to install, its crazy not to put them in.. I run both fronts and rears off and Amp, and its loud, clear, and most of all loud enough to hear at top speed with your roof down. I havent heard them on stock power, but word of mouth says its incrediable..

If there is anything that I am the most happy about adding to this car, its the Lucid rear speaker panels.

Its winter here now and my car is moth balled, however I go out to it often just to listen to it. Its magic.

At first I didn't think it would make that big of a difference, however when I installed it, it was like WOW this car can sound good.

Do it, the cost is reasonable and the service and support from Lucid is just unreal. He bends over backwards to make sure you're happy.

And I was a challenge
