Tech support at soundgate advised me that they do not have any adapter to connect the HU to a Sirius receiver.

I received a call from Honda today and the rep told me that the radio is made by Clarion. I will try to buy a Clarion tuner and see if its compatible with the existing HU. I will keep this thread alive as this may help other members of the forum.

This device purportedly will provide you with an auxiliary input for the S2000 radio. You would then be able to route the audio signal from any external device into the factory radio.

You would then need a Sirius tuner with RCA line outputs. This will NOT give you the ability to control the Sirius tuner and will not display radio information, it will only give you an audio input to the factory deck.

I used a similar Soundgate adapter to add an XM Commander to my wife's '04 Acura TSX, it works very well.

EDIT: After further thought, and reading that page again:

If this adapter + Pioneer XM Tuner + S2000 radio = XM compatibility; then
adapter + Pioneer Sirius tuner + S2000 radio = Sirius compatibility?

You can get the Pioneer Sirius tuner for $50. You should probably call Logjam and see if they think it will work, I don't see why not.

QUESTION...
I bought a similar product to the one that Karl O. described, and found that there is no extra port on the back of the radio. Is XM (XM ready from the factory) taking one of the ports?...or do I need the plug that has an extra plug on it (like Nintendo Co-Ax plugs)?

On the 2004 and 2005 Honda OEM radios, which are all XM ready, there is a proprietary Honda plug located in the trunk panel, which plugs into the proprietary Honda OEM XM tuner box or Honda OEM CD changer, or both.

Just download the instructions for the XM tuner box install from handa, and you will see a diagram of where to find this plug.

lookie here ---

works for me!

note: I would not install the Honda OEM XM antenna. if you want the honda oem XM tuner, for the love of god, get a splitter and mini-micro antenna instead. no drilling, and much much MUCH smaller and prettier. cheaper, too.

yes the radios are the same, and if you read those xm instructions, they point out where the "sub-harness" is that you plug your new AUX thingie into.

I just had the Alpine CDA-9853 (Sirius) put in. I lost all functionality with my audio cluster (vol, mute, channel). Did the installer screw this up? I have heard the Mode function stops working with after market installs but didn't realize I'd lose all the buttons on the left.
